The Nintendo DSi and DSi XL were created and produced by Nintendo as handheld gaming consoles, succeeding the Nintendo DS Lite. They mark the third iteration of the Nintendo DS series. The DSi was released in Japan on November 1, 2008, and globally in April 2009. It boasts a 3.25-inch touchscreen display, 256 MB internal flash memory, and the ability to expand storage with SD/SDHC cards. Additionally, it has two cameras, built-in photo editing software, and an SD card slot. The DSi XL, released in Japan on November 21, 2009, and worldwide in March 2010, is a larger version of the DSi, featuring a 4.2-inch touchscreen display and improved battery life. The console also introduces the new Touch Pen accessory, longer stylus, and a larger screen size. Both consoles support SD/SDHC cards for expandable storage and include two cameras, built-in photo editing software
