Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! is an educational program released for the Nintendo DS in 2005 in Japan and 2006 worldwide. It was developed and published by Nintendo, in collaboration with Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, a Japanese professor of neuroscience. The game is designed to improve cognitive skills such as memory, attention, and processing speed through a series of puzzles and exercises.
Features:
- Brain Age Check: Try three different puzzles given at random and receive a brain age score, ranging from 20 (best) to 80 (worst).
- Sudoku: Over 400 different Sudoku puzzles with four difficulty levels, including Easy, Normal, and Hard.
- Calculations x20 and x100: Solve simple math problems as fast as possible.
- Word Memory: Memorize 30 four-letter words for two minutes and write them down as many as you can.
- Stroop Test: Identify the color of the font, not the word, using the DS microphone.
- Head Count: Count the number of people entering and exiting a house.
- Reading Aloud and Calculations Aloud: Read a paragraph or solve math problems aloud using the DS microphone.
- Syllable Count: Count the syllables in different sentences.
- Calculations Battle: Compete against up to 15 players in a math competition.
- 120 Count: Try to count to 120 as fast as possible.
