Wario Ware Smooth Moves is a party video game developed by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems for the Wii console. The game features a series of microgames that are played in rapid succession, requiring players to hold the Wii Remote in various positions to interact with the games, mimicking real-life actions such as shaking a hand, twisting a bottle cap, or pointing a finger. The game showcases and takes full advantage of the Wii Remote and its motion sensor, as microgames are played by placing the controller in numerous positions, called "Forms" in the game, which often invites the player to perform odd actions. The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called forms), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge.

The game offers a variety of gameplay modes, including a single-player story mode and multiplayer party modes where players can compete against each other in mini-games. The game includes a single-player story mode and multiplayer party modes where players can compete against each other in mini-games. The game has about 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, taking interactive gaming to a whole new level. Players must clear fast-paced sets of microgames, changing the way they hold the Wii Remote each time. The game is broken up into stages, each represented by a WarioWare character and loosely connected by a story, with the microgames divided among the stages
