Pokémon TCG: Guardians Rising is the second expansion in the Sun & Moon series, released on May 5, 2017. The 169-card set focuses on the Alola region and centers around the Legendary Guardian Pokémon—Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini—while introducing new Tag Team-GX cards and GX Pokémon like Decidueye-GX, Alolan Ninetales-GX, and Sylveon-GX. It features powerful Trainer cards such as Field Blower, Rescue Stretcher, and Mallow, and introduces the Power-Up mechanic, allowing players to boost Pokémon strength by stacking Energy cards.
