Collection: Platinum

Platinum is the first expansion in the Platinum series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on February 11, 2009. The 133-card set is based on the Pokémon Platinum video game and highlights its key additions, including Giratina in both Altered and Origin Forms, Shaymin, and the villainous Team Galactic. It introduces the Lost Zone—a discard-like area where cards cannot be retrieved—and features Pokémon SP, a new card type representing Pokémon owned by specific Trainers, such as Team Galactic’s Garchomp SP. The set also includes powerful Pokémon LV.X, such as Giratina LV.X, and continues the use of secret rare retro holo cards.
