The set focuses on Fossil Pokémon like Armaldo, Cradily, and Kabutops, while also featuring powerful Pokémon-ex cards such as Wailord ex (notable for its 200 HP) and early appearances of legendary Pokémon like Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Groudon in EX Holo form. It introduced dual weaknesses and resistances, adding strategic depth, and included new Trainer cards like Lanette's Net Search and Wally's Training.
