Collection: Urza's Saga

Urza's Saga is a 350-card expansion set released on October 12, 1998, as the first installment in the Urza block, set on Dominaria and chronicling the planeswalker Urza’s efforts to prepare for the Phyrexian Invasion. The set introduced two new mechanics: cycling, which allows players to discard a card for a mana cost to draw a new one, and echo, requiring players to pay a spell’s cost again on their next turn or sacrifice it. Each color in the set reflects a different aspect of the story—white focuses on Serra’s Realm, blue on Tolaria Academy, black on Urza’s journey to Phyrexia, red on the nation of Shiv, and green on the conflict on Argoth.
