Dark Gyarados (8/82) is a Water-type Stage 1 Pokémon with 70 HP, originally released as the prerelease promotional card for the Team Rocket expansion in the Pokémon TCG. Illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno, this Holo Rare card features the menacing, corrupted form of Gyarados, known as "Bad Gyarados" in Japan. It was distributed exclusively at prerelease events, making it a rare and sought-after collectible among fans of early 2000s Pokémon card releases.

The card boasts a powerful Pokémon Power called Final Beam, which triggers when Dark Gyarados is knocked out: flip a coin, and if heads, it deals 20 damage for each Energy card attached to it to the opposing Pokémon that knocked it out. This power doesn't work if Dark Gyarados is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
