Goblin Commander Unleash The Horde Sony PS2 Playstation 2 Complete in Box

The game is set in a fantasy world named Ogriss, where a civil war erupts among goblin clans after their creator and master, a human sorcerer named Fraziel, is killed. Fraziel had created the goblins to serve as miners and builders for his “Great Machine,” but an unknown force sabotaged it, leading to its destruction and the death of Fraziel. The surviving goblins, now without their master, form into five different clans, each with unique units and abilities. The player takes on the role of Grommel, the leader of the Stonekrusher clan, and must unite the other clans to uncover the truth behind Fraziel’s death and prevent the destruction of Ogriss.

The gameplay of Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde is a hybrid of real-time strategy and light action. Players gather resources, build up their horde of goblins, and engage in battles with other clans. Each clan has its own unique units and designs, focusing on either close combat or ranged attacks. For example, the Stonekrusher clan can recruit light, medium, and heavy combat goblins but only light-range units, while the Hellfire clan specializes in ranged attacks. Each clan also has special goblins with unique abilities, such as the Hellfire scout for line of sight and the Stonekrusher drummer for healing other goblins. Additionally, players can take direct control of certain units and titans in a third-person view to engage in direct combat.

The game features two modes: a single-player campaign with set objectives and a two-player skirmish mode where players can battle each other via split-screen. The single-player campaign involves a series of missions where the player gradually gains control of the various goblin clans. The game’s richly detailed and destructible environments, fast arcade-style action, and easy-to-master control scheme designed specifically for console gamepads set it apart from other real-time strategy games.
