Magneton #9/102 from the Pokémon Base Set (Shadowless) is a Holo Rare Stage 1 Lightning-type Pokémon card released by Wizards of the Coast in 1999. With 60 HP, it evolves from Magnemite and features two attacks: Thunder Wave (30 damage, may paralyze the defending Pokémon on a coin flip) and Selfdestruct (80 damage, but also damages all Benched Pokémon and the user). It has a Fighting-type weakness, a retreat cost of 1, and no resistance. Illustrated by Keiji Kinebuchi, the card is part of the original 102-card Base Set and is highly valued for its nostalgic appeal and gameplay role in early Pokémon TCG formats.

The Shadowless edition is distinguished by the absence of a shadow beneath the Pokémon artwork, a trait shared with early print runs of the Base Set before the Unlimited edition introduced it.
