is a tactical role-playing game developed by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld console. It is the second installment in the Mega Man Battle Network series and follows Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, as they take down the new NetCrime syndicate, Gospel. The game builds upon the gameplay of its predecessor, introducing new concepts such as the SubChip, which can only be activated outside of battle, and the ability to have multiple active folders for customizing attacks. Players can also access NetSquares, which serve as a social hub for NetNavis and their operators.
The game features a unique battle system where players select "Battle Chips" to use in real-time combat on a 6x3 grid. These chips allow for various attacks and strategies, and players can combine chips with the same letter or type to create powerful combinations.Additionally, the game introduces a style system that affects damage received, attack damage, and physical appearance, with five different styles to choose from. Players can also earn up to five stars on the title screen by completing major tasks in the game.
