Rise of The Kasai is an action-adventure video game developed by BottleRocket Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It serves as a sequel to The Mark of Kri and was released only in North America. The game was later re-released on the PlayStation 4 via PlayStation Network in 2016, offering enhanced features such as 1080p up-rendering and trophies. The game follows the story of the Rakus, a group of warriors, as they battle against the evil sect of dark magicians known as the Kasai, led by the traitor Maibisi.

The narrative of Rise of the Kasai spans events that take place ten years prior to and ten years after the events of The Mark of Kri. It features two generations of the Rakus, with past levels focusing on the older generation, including Baumusu and Griz, and future levels featuring the new generation, Rau and Tati. The story revolves around Rau and Tati, who must stop Maibisi from unleashing world domination by collecting the six Marks of Kri. The game also introduces new playable characters, including Rau's sister Tati, and offers collaborative gameplay where players can team up with AI-controlled characters to fight through 10 expansive levels.

Gameplay in Rise of the Kasai consists of thirteen levels, where the player, accompanied by a computer-controlled ally, must battle numerous enemies to progress through the story. The combat system revolves around the use of Focus Beams, a gameplay mechanic that allows players to lock on to single or multiple enemies from any direction. Players can employ stealth tactics to avoid detection and quietly ambush enemies, adding depth to the gameplay experience.
