SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs is a tactical third-person shooter video game developed by Zipper Interactive and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. The game allows players to take on the role of elite SEAL forces as they carry out various squad-based missions to protect America. It takes players to three new areas of operation: Morocco, Poland, and South Asia. For the first time in the SOCOM series, land and water vehicles play a central role in the gameplay experience.

The game features gameplay maps that are five to six times the size of those in SOCOM II, allowing for more extensive exploration and immersive experiences. Players can use more than 30 different weapons and attachments, resulting in nearly 1,000 different weapon combinations. The innovative new weapon customization system and Team Command Actions (TCA) allow players to give context-sensitive commands to their teammates, enhancing the tactical experience.

SOCOM 3 offers a variety of missions, with 14 different single-player missions and five difficulty levels. Each mission has primary, secondary, bonus, and crosstalk objectives, providing a comprehensive and challenging gameplay experience.
