Transformers: The Game is a third-person shooter video game created by Savage Entertainment and published by Activision. It was released on June 26, 2007, for the Sony PSP handheld console. The players assume the roles of either the Autobots or Decepticons, two factions of transforming robots from the popular Transformers franchise. The game is based on the 2007 live-action film directed by Michael Bay. It follows the film's storyline as players control the Autobots or Decepticons in their fight for domination over Earth. The game features include two playable factions, two campaigns with unique storylines and missions, a variety of playable characters such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, and transforming robots with special abilities and attacks. Additionally, there is a multiplayer mode for both competitive and cooperative gameplay.
